Every month, I choose a handful of fountain pens that I call “notably inked”.
I pick out these pens based on model, nib, and matching inks specifically to explore and have fun with while journaling. They’re notable because this lineup may change the next month, while my core lineup of pens stays consistently the same month-over-month. Of the thirteen fountain pens that I used regularly in April, eight of them were notably inked (and one is new!)

My Fave Fountain Pen in March
Sometimes a pen, nib, and ink come together to give me a perfectly enjoyable writing experience. In April, I had to give it to my new Esterbrook x TheCoffeeMonsterzCo Estie along with the matching ink called “Forgotten Iced Coffee”. The neutral ink shade is so pleasant and the Journaler nib (custom ground by Gena from Custom Nib Studio for Esterbrook) is so smooth and comfortable to write with.
